I awoke to a nauseated belly thinking I captured the flu. I figured it would ease out by the time we had all huddled and made our way to the trailhead.
The sun warmed the sky and the air was lukewarm. The windy roads found a way to sneak into my belly which was weak and twirling.
The vehicles had difficulty rolling up the hill of the logging road, so we gathered into the jeep and with a scare that stumbled us, we made it up.
We began our trek, and in the midst of the nearly 3-hour elevated path, the upset tummy kept knocking its way, but I gritted my way through it.
We made it to the lake for a sparing dip in the glacial waters that spiked alertness for me.
As not far from that, we sheltered in the cabin, drinking herbal tea and eating hot noodles.
My nausea depleted the moment game boards came to the scene as my mouth barfed swear words each time an attack was made.
By the next day at 6 AM, we hiked to the summit (atop 5,040 feet) to capture the sun rising from the mountainous horizon. We embraced and breathed the wonders of the land from such heights.
Once breakfast and cacao filled us up, we packed to decline the distance we had arisen from. Yet again, a dip of the cold lake of the mountain to eventually reach the bottom where our chariots awaited us.

The Lesson
"Life is vast
Filled with wonders,
We have not yet met.

Until we trek
Through un-walkable tracks.
To something daring
That brings us to the scenic view
Of the expansiveness
That awaits
For us to know it."

A Trope to Your Writing Voice
"Discover the deep whispers of your melodic voice.
To the ranges of the valleys
And to the heights of the mountains.
Echoing as ripples of the water
And to the shimmy of the trees.
Roar from atop
And hear the thunders of your echo
Vibrating the grounds from which
Your feet lay grounded."
Write the echoes of your roar with my notebooks: Evolution, Persistence, Resilience, I Let Go - Matcha, I Let Go - Charcoal, FLOW - Dusty Teal, and FLOW - Early Green.
