A reader's story: The Abbreviated Trinity

There is a chronicle stream of tales that are beyond what is captured in words. Between a writer and a reader, they are a linking of words as two threads woven.

There is the story of the author's life that expelled expressions within the book. To the themes of the pages that capture the sights of the reader and unravel the tales of their own.

In my time, since launching When Words Flow, I have come to meet the touching and inspiring experiences of those that have connected to my own.

I call this one

 THE ABBREVIATED TRINITY

I had my book signing at my town’s market. A hub of many diverse beings from all parts of the globe, from a multitude of paths likely never to cross one another.

A woman with intriguing eyes passed along with her teen daughter by her side and her husband to the other. They had a quick sight through a few pages of my book and felt a pull to purchase my first edition along with receiving a personal message I felt to write within.

I had asked to whom I dedicate this book to and they answered to all three of them, an initial of each into an acronym.

I felt into my senses that propelled my pen to scribble away. I cannot recall what message I wrote, nor the theme of what I said. I gave them the copy and they gently grabbed it and walked away.

For within 10 to 15 minutes, the woman rushed over to me, her eyes swollen and dampened by the tears that suddenly streamed, only to collapse her body into my arms holding each other tightly.

As she collected her breath, she went on to say that they recently found out that her husband has cancer and the three of them were exploring the Island to their dreamiest destinations to share and create further memories together before enduring the likely hardship ahead.

She uttered that what I wrote for them three was a fitting puzzle in between.

She thanked me with the force of her heart and went back out to follow along her daughter and her loving partner onwards to this unknown tunnel with the warmth of what they have shared in their time of vacation—to the memories foraged to the core of their beings.
